How can i recover without having to wipe anything. Dont want to loose data as i have no recent back up but it looks like if i follow the same instructions it will wipe one of the drives. If everything is on a single disk, you'll have to plug that disk into another computer to save the data.
If the boot partition is on it's own disk, I recommend disconnecting the other disks and then going through this procedure again. Best of luck, I hate boot problems. This is a good article but something is wrong. I even put it on front and it still didn't work. The hard drive was spinning but no light came on for it. Hi Kurosaki, Wow, I wrote this article 5 years ago, and while I still in April of , Have a Home Server box at my house, it's running on an HP MicroServer, which has monitor outputs and is an actual full server albeit designed to be underpowered.
The only thing Home Server does for me these days is run Plex server, and centralized back-up. I wish I could be more help. Good luck friend.
