Windows media centre volume control

For those using it on Windows 10, I believe you need to install the LAV filters to enable playback of much of the content, but I also found the TV functionality seemed to be broken under the later builds of Windows 10 and this seems to still be the experience for most commentators here.

I have a triple boot 8. I can watch a dvd, I get the guide but when I click on a channel it flashs back to the desktop. To me this looks a lot like a strange bug. When adjusting he volume in Media Center, global volume is changed, not only the volume of Media Center. I suspect that the volume control in the main pain of Media Center controls the volume depends on the volume control of Notification Area. I know that it is changing the global volume, which I'm fine with. But other applications can change the global volume without explorer.
